Every 2 years I lose my collective shit over the Olympics. Its the greatest collection of sporting events in the history of man kind! Long Jump! Hammer Throw! Dressage! TEAM FUCKING ARCHERY! CAN YOU FEEL THE EXCITEMENT
So technically the Olympics start today because the first football match is in Cardiff. SO woo! The Opening Ceremony is going to SUCK! English Countryside is the theme. Any guesses on who lights the cauldron? I say either Steven Redgrave or Rodger Bannister and I'm leaning towards the latter, but WHO KNOWS! ITS A MYSTERY. I'm never into the Summer Games as much as I am into the Winter Games. I'll watch here and there, keep track of the medal count, but really the Summer Games can never be held again and I wouldn't notice.
Also, I preferred it when both games were held in the same year. Got me more excited for both sets. This every two years nonsense has taken the shine off the Olympics. --------------------  |

Water Polo Volleyball Boxing Football Rugby Table Tennis Track This Olympics we should be able to see the actual competition....and if it's not too hard to find, then I would also watch Weightlifting and the Gymnastics stuff. I pretty much despise the Prime Time packaging of events. If it was up to me we would just see hardcore competition. Qualifying Heats, No Bullshit etc. I am also still pissed off about not having Softball. Motherfuckers. They ditched it because the USA women were so good....but they lost the last one to Japan. |
