Damn, that's a horrible goal, Corey Crawford.

2nd game in a row the Blackhawks claw back and tie the game in the last minute only to have Corey Crawford allow an absolute shit goal in OT both games. Ray Emery has to be in net the next game. I don't think I've seen a playoff year like this before. The goaltending has been abysmal for several teams.

This is also absolute junk. Quenville gets fined $10,000

What in the hell does the league expect to have happened when you have some person putting a microphone in his face minutes after he sees one of his players get stretchered off the ice, with the assailant not even getting a minor?

I think at this point coaches should refrain from doing any interviews. If the league wants to keep fining them when these networks put the coaches on the spot like that?

Then fine, no more talking to guys like Pierre during the game.

How about no more Pierre in general? I don't need some cueball uncontrollably shouting out junior team names like he has a CHL-centric version of Tourette's Syndrome.

He does, but the yelling junior team names takes up too much time for him to contribute anything. Also the constant yelling even when there is no call for it grates on the nerves. I think he annoys me because I know he could be really good but gets caught up in that bs. Not like Micheletti who's just dumber than a bag of hammers.

I'm just tired for blaming these coaches for what they're saying.

I mean what does the NHL honestly think he's going to say?

"Well we are deeply saddened by what has occurred, and we'll evaluate the game footage and move on"

No, let's fine him for speaking his mind about a hit that was so bad, Torres will get AT LEAST five games yet somehow four officials missed.

Here's a novel concept. How about the league apologizes to the Blackhaws that they put out refs that couldn't spot a hit that might garner a 10 game suspension?

You know, just looking at the Phoenix game, and how they may be 1 game away from FINALLY winning a series..

......And they give up a goal.

By the way, this is random but looking at the 'Yotes I have to wonder. Has there ever been a bigger regression in terms of uniforms, logo etc than the Coyotes?

It may be cartoonish and dorky. But at least it was unique and paid homage to the American Indian heritage too. Their red ones might be the most generic, boring, bland pieces of junk in sports.

It is the epitome of hypocrisy that they come down extremely hard on anyone who speaks their minds about what a sorry state the NHL is in, using the rationale that "it's not respectful to the game, and these are professionals so we expect conduct befitting of such", or some BS like that. So people going out every game and trying to kill each other with blindside headshots is respectful to the game? Line brawling is respectful to the game?

Not to mention the NHL is encouraging people to speak their minds when they have coaches speaking to the media....DURING A GAME! I'm sorry, but the league, nor the networks are hoping for bland coach speak. They dig it when Quenville goes off on someone. The guy didn't curse on tv. He didn't go ballistic like Torts accusing refs of a conspiracy ala the Winter Classic. He rightfully expresses anger. And that's what they're all hoping for. But let's fine him anyway.

What makes it more ridiculous is the fact the CBA has a max player fine of $2,500, something I really didn't pay attention to (nor a lot of others until now). That Weber got 1/4 the fine of a coach expressing his anger that his star player just got annihilated is just wrong on so many levels.

I just think it would be funny at some point that the coaches got together and to do some sort of protest where every interview they have they simply answer questions with yes or no responses. It'll never happen of course, but would still be humorous.

I wonder how long they have to pay these fines? What do they do if you don't pay the fine? Put a lien on your coachdom?

Maybe they all need to end their comments with: "Bill me."

I think part of the yelling may be because he's down on the ice and also has to deal with the noise level from the fans. It may just be that it's more pronounced down there than in the broadcast booth. Imagine having headphones on with the music turned up and trying to have a conversation; you raise your voice.

She is obviously not being very open minded. Shes not the right girl for you D.

Upside of girl who really digs hockey: Watch more hockey.
Downside of girl who really digs hockey: If her team gets eliminated, you have to live with it.

Bonus: If the girl likes hockey, make sure she's also a fan of the team you're a fan of.

Bags of Hammers everywhere resent being compared to Joe Micheletti.

Wouldn't that be Philly, coming back from 0-3 against Boston a couple years back, and then losing that way this year?

I forgot about that, but you're still wrong as both clubs would simultaneously achieve that honor.

The NHL playoff coverage on TV this year rules. Watch NBC Sports, change to CNBC, change back to NBC Sports. Non-stop hockey for hours.

I love it. My girlfriend, not so much.

You still haven't trained her yet? D, you're disappointing me here.

Well I can actually confirm that she exists.
