Let's hope Dubi plays well tonight so we can include him in a sexy trade on Monday.

Meh. Rangers need a rebound game. I'd let Henrik start just to give them some confidence and let the scoring come. I'm comfortable with Biron tomorrow. The Isles play the Rangers hard.

Theres a thread for shit like that.

Anyway, I'd go with Hank tonight and Biron tomorrow. Fits well with having Lundqvist go against the Devils on Monday.

What to watch on the other side (in case you want the full objective experience wink.gif )

John Tavares' shooting
John Tavares' passing
John Tavares' skating

PA Parenteau (if they can't sign him, could be a nice trade piece). He don't need no stinkin' Tavares to be good.

Travis Hamonic's first game back after getting his face shattered by a puck. He's the Isles' best all-around defenseman

Nabokov's first game back after having the flu.

First NHL game for top-level prospect Casey Cizikas. Projects as a good two-way forward with some offensive ability.

Matt Martin will probably hit something.

If that's his projection, I'm not sure top-level is the term to use.

You want a two-way forward with some offensive ability? Here, have some. Take a whole handful. We have plenty.

That's not fair, man. Our one-and-a-half-way forwards are extra special. They can block shots, kill penalties, and also block shots.

He wont have a bright future unless he scores 13 goals in 90 games in the NHL in his first two seasons.

He would fit in with the current Ranger team. Maybe the Isles can trade him there. I'd take Rick Nash for him. Nash is a Ranger, right?

My goodness Torts loves Bickel. Starting him over Eminger now? Is it just for the pure reason Bickel can drop the gloves?

Fenway Park, in Boston, is a lyric little bandbox of a ballpark. Everything is painted green and seems in curiously sharp focus, like the inside of an old-fashioned peeping-type Easter egg. It was built in 1912 and rebuilt in 1934, and offers, as do most Boston artifacts, a compromise between Man's Euclidean determinations and Nature's beguiling irregularities. - John Updike

The difference is I have more faith in Eminger playing 12-14 minutes in trying to spell the top pair than Stu Bickel. The team should do its best to try and win games yes, but try to have Girardi and McDonagh play less than 27-30 minutes per game as we go down the stretch.

I haven't seen anything from Torts that makes he think he'll trust Bickel to play more than 6 minutes tonight. Eminger meanwhile has actually played, and done an adequate job playing over 10 minutes as a Ranger.

I will be watching (delayed - after lax practice) on the new 60" Sharp as our 1st HDTV, purchased immediately after the lockout ended, went to HD heaven over the weekend.

The picture is so good I will be able to see Matt Martin's lips move every time a thought flits ineffectually through what passes as his mind.

I think Eminger is getting scratched as a continuation from last game when he and Stralman were stuck to the bench in the 3rd. Torts even said Stralman could just as easily been sitting tonight.

I don't think this is a long term thing.

Well if he ever played 12-14 it might be a worry. As it stands now the 3rd D pair is lucky to get on the ice. As long as Torts is grinding the top two pairs into the ground it doesn't matter much who's warming up the end of the bench.

Eminger has been a defensive mess and a penalty magnet since he came back from injury. It doesn't hurt that Bickel likes to drop the gloves when they're playing a division rival that will probably want to go a few times.
