I'm now at the point of desperate measures to impress upon you how tired I am of some of you guys destroying each other every day. My frustration comes from the fact I just can't walk away from it and leave you to do whatever to each other, I'm responsible.

It's really tiring at this point, isn't it? OK, you don't like jkman, or Greatone, or me, or Leeds, or Knight of Dight, or 101, or whomever, and their comments send you into an instant rage. So? Just leave then. Or ignore it. We have ignore list functions. I don't want to lose any members, but it's better than daily grudgery.

But then fighting to the death over it just makes everyone miserable. I really think it was getting better around here and that even 'the usual suspects' were getting along.

The club soccer and hockey teams all have similar rules regarding emails to the coach, etc. They want you to go ahead and write your irate email, but save it as a draft, wait 24 hours, then read it again and see if you really still want to send that email.

Obviously, 24 hours is probably excessive here, but the principle still holds true. Imagine someone reading your post - someone like our kids for example - and think if you'd be embarrassed or ashamed if they were to read your post. If the answer is 'yes', don't post it.

No, I get that. I had 101 on ignore for a long time when we would get into Political discussions. It is a good deterrent, if only people would use it more often.

I was in a pissy mood after Game 4's loss, especially to greatone (i apologized to him via PM). But i was just angry after that game and that's that.... move on.

Overall.... i've learned just to get over things. Someone jabs me, i'll jab back and then if that continues i just let it go. Most of us on here have known each other since the Hockeybird.com days. I think Pete and i quite disliked each other back then too. But now we're old farts. It's like, you reach a certain stage that you have the "behh fuck it" attitude. I guess we matured? And Pete, i made these sorts of points to you a while back. You know what i am talking about.

Aside from some bumps in political threads, i've been back in there for some time and so far not a single significant problem. Just some turbulence at times, and that is bound to happen....it's politics. But it's gotten to a point where there are more pleasant posts to reply to than idiotic ones.

The Rangers thread has been full of arrogance and just....stupid...immature silliness. I mean, take off the internet aspect and are people on here really going to go around MSG correcting fans and disagreeing with them and feeling more knowledgeable than them?

So what if someone posts something that is wrong or just inane. No reason to taunt that person and make him/her feel stupid. Just hit a normal reply.
