Fenway Park, in Boston, is a lyric little bandbox of a ballpark. Everything is painted green and seems in curiously sharp focus, like the inside of an old-fashioned peeping-type Easter egg. It was built in 1912 and rebuilt in 1934, and offers, as do most Boston artifacts, a compromise between Man's Euclidean determinations and Nature's beguiling irregularities. - John Updike

Guys, I don't know if I can handle this. I woke up this morning, got ready for work and it hit me. Next week the playoffs start. The Rangers are in and are 1st place in the East and could win the President's Trophy.

Then it hit me. I've got the nerves already. I'm at work and all I can think about it the playoffs.

I've gotta bring myself down somehow. Ah Met's opening day to the rescue!

The worst is trying to get to sleep after the games. It usually takes me a good 2 hours at least before I'm sufficiently cooled down.

I remember losing my nerves in '94....when I was 12. I don't know how I could handle it when and if the Rangers are ever in an East Final or Stanley Cup Final again. I may need some Bayer, and a heart device on hand.

It's on NBCS. Doesn't that mean it won't be on MSG at all? If that's not the case, I have a tough decision to make: I'm recording the game since I'm working until 9, so do I want to listen to Sam and Joe or Doc and Pierre (I think Eddie says one or two words also)?! banghead.gif

Is it actually the main NBCSN crew? Or is it bonus coverage where you'll get the nimrod Pens announcers?

Ah ok. Good. The "Next Game" box has a line that says "Watch game on MSG2" in big letters underneath the boxscore area. Didn't notice above it where it says "Live on NBCS..."

Dunno. It definitely seems pretty blah. Saw a link on Puck Daddy where they said he was basically a mascot in Chicago. Maybe Glen grabbed him as a warm body to plug in figuring he fit Tort's chemistry requirements?

Hawks fans LOVE him. I had so many texts from my friends out in Chicago saying, "Take care of John for us! We're gonna miss him." I don't know if it was just a move made for the sake of making a trade or what - or they wanted another big guy on the team so no other teams try to knock us around? I really don't know.

Just a heads up: If you live in the MSG broadcast area, the game will be blacked out on NBCS!

Don't set the game to record on NBCS if you are not going to be home to watch. You won't get the game.

By outward appearances, sure. By outward appearances, he's living the life of a goofy yet popular goon running the minor-league circuit.

Just a heads up: If you live in the MSG broadcast area, the game will be blacked out on NBCS!

Don't set the game to record on NBCS if you are not going to be home to watch. You won't get the game.

COCKSUCKERS

EDIT: actually, are you sure about that? It's the national game, I think, so it should be blacked out on MSG2.

Weren't you the one that said the Rangers lost the conference and the division a week ago?

I wonder how good ol' Fours is doing these days.

Looks like he's gooning it up in the AHL.

By outward appearances, sure. By outward appearances, he's living the life of a goofy yet popular goon running the minor-league circuit.

But you know the expression about outward appearances.

Someday the story may be told about how the Bang PI saved the National Hockey League and, in the process, won the New York Rangers the Eastern Conference. But for now, like the identities of Seal Team 6, the truth cannot be revealed.

I Don't Like: The Devils, the city of Philadelphia and fake Pens fans.

You know looking at Leedsy's avatar, we never took a moment to recognize in solemn remembrance, the end of Ryan Callahan's one ankle as we know it.
