Shane is throwing hard. They're saying that Margarito was found with a foreign substance in his hand wraps which was then removed.

10-9 Mosley

Nothing spectacular. Tony was driving a stiff jab late in the round.

Round 3 was fun. They're trading hard shots and it looks like Tony is settling down and can handle Shane's power.

It looks like Shane is affected when he has to taste Margarito's power, but Shane ties him up quickly and efficiently when they happens. Mosley is throwing bombs now in Rd 6!

Looks like Pacquiao is gonna fight Hatton in May. I thought he may wait for this one to play out, Mosley vs. Manny woulda been pretty great.

The good thing about Manny is he'll fight anyone. But the ongoing problem is always the matchup of promoters.
Mosley is pretty amazing for his age...if he's clean. Maybe he can be around for Manny's next one after Hatton.

The feeling in England is that Haye is going to mop the floor with him and its all a formality. Its being billed as a bit of a 'memory lane/tribute' to Harrison in the unofficial media rather than a true competitive event.

However Ive watched boxing long enough to know nothing is a formality. Hayes of all people should know that after Valuev!

Helluva Fight on HBO between Lee and McEwen. Nice Middleweight Slugfest between an Irishman and a Scotsman.
Lee was getting out pointed and out boxed....then put McEwen DOWN in the last round with some heavy shots.

Now...another Middleweight battle coming next. If it is anything like the first, I'll be happy.

Well it ended with a thud and a poor penalty for Khan.

Scoring should be interesting, but these guys were a great match. They both ran out of steam in the last rounds but it was a lot of fun.

The Ref was definitely in Peterson's corner. Khan was tons of flash early and Peterson grinded back.

Waiting for the scoring.

ooooh Peterson via Split Decision. For once it was a tough call. Peterson got the benefit of a doubtful point deduction. Would love to see round by round scoring.

A rematch would be awesome.

Manny Pacquiao got knocked the fuck out.

Round 5

They traded knockdowns up until then and Manny actually had the fight up until Marquez crushed him with a huge counter. Face down and out cold. Asleep.

Great fight.

This...

Manny was lacking the patience and tempo of the past. Constant motion, tagging in and out. Instead he looked like early Manny. He was swinging wildly and looking for the big shot more than doing the yeoman's work. He played right into Marquez' style. He tried to overwhelm with punches.

As soon as the first knock down happened I could see how this fight was going to go.

Pac may go on to a Mayweather fight, but the window for this fight is too late. Mayweather by nature of his ability going to have a longer career at the top. If Manny were to fight Mayweather remotely like he fought Marquez? Forget about it. Save the PPV money.

I think Manny has too many other things going on at this point. His Province was just devastated by a typhoon and they needed his leadership. Something that had to weigh heavy on him.

Damn I'm really sad I missed this one. Well sort of, last night was too fun to leave and go to a bar to watch wink.gif

Clearly Pac has lost a step. We all knew it was going to happen eventually, no one just wanted to admit it was now. Fighting Mayweather would generate a billion dollars, but it wouldn't be as good as it were 3-5 years ago. Such a same.

All fighters have concussions. It's the nature of the game. It's hard to tell how many they could take before they "lose a step." More then likely he was victimized by the following issue: ring miles
