The Rangers and Boston College junior Chris Kreider, the 19th overall pick in the 2009 draft, have agreed to terms on an entry-level contract, the Record has confirmed. Kreider will join the Rangers for practice tomorrow. By doing so, he’ll automatically burn up the first year of his three-year entry deal regardless of whether he plays in the playoffs.

The Rangers were announced as 11-2 to win the Cup this morning, but that was before this news. So they'll be what...1-5 now?

Whoa. Rangers should have him just hang out near the opposing goalie's crease and leer at him now and then while eating while weird, smelly foods from a paper bag. They'd score 6 minimum every game.

I assume he won't play the first game, maybe the first two games, as he gets up to speed. And if the Rangers win those games, he might not play even then.

I guess today's Advanced Racetrack Management lecture wasn't all that interesting.

(This was an actual class at St. John's when I went there. We basically talked about handicapping horse races the whole time. "Well professor, in the ninth at Belmont I would have back wheeled the field in an exacta box with the favorite placing." (this was an actual statement I made in that class.))

Go play for the Rangers in Madison Square Garden? Or go to 18th Century America seminar? Play for the Rangers in the Stanley Cup Playoffs? Or finish up advanced Prob & Stat course? Golly, this is tough.

Well I assume his contract wasn't finalized until late morning/early afternoon. So he went to class in the morning. Big whoop. His ride from Boston to New York leaves around 8 tonight.

What are you talking about? I know he posted this before the signing. Which is also when Kreider was reportedly at class. Why would he skip class and head to NY with no contract in hand? He went to class. Contract got signed. He/the team made arrangements for his ride to NY tonight, which leaves about 45 minutes from now.
