Well, that was fun. For the first 40 minutes anyway, until crunch time and the Knicks needed to play defense, and for Baron Davis to show some composure. I guess the division title is out, but woooooo, we can still get #7!

Obviously most of my attention has been on the Rangers, but nice to see the Knickerbockers finish up well after the way that season was headed. Melo is in beast mode. Of course, the Heat are probably the worst matchup they could have gotten, but I never believe in trying to play the matchup game when you're finishing out the season. Should be fun, hopefully they can make it interesting. There were times in the Heat games this year where the Knicks looked to be their equal, and then other where the Heat seemed to say, "yeah, enough of this shit," and went on 21-2 runs.

Wow did the Knicks fortunes turn around quick in one afternoon...
1) The Heat seem to have a solid gameplan to lockdown Anthony. 2) Shumpert is out 6-8 months. 3) Chandler has the flu 4) Stat is a shell of himself 5) Lebron looks like a man on a mission. I don't think this series is going more than 5.....if that. |

I would really be bummed about this were it not for the Rangers. That said, this was a crazy season from the get go. No point guard to start the season, MDA, lockout, shortened season, no preseason workouts, dickhead STAT punching a fire extinguisher, etc. A lot of fun and encouraging stuff happened this year, hit the reset button and see how they come back in the fall.
