Also, Brodeur is getting the call in back to back games for them.

This picture reminds of the guy in "Dude, Where's my Car" when he and Ashton Kutcher are doing their updated 'Who's on first' bit telling each other what their tatoos say.

So, there's still a game tonight and we're still 7 points up on the next closest team.

Will we have a fight off the opening face off for the third game in a row?

If the Rangers lose can we put a Rangerland hit on Howson?

Does anyone else subscribe to the idea that now that the trade deadline madness is over, this team will settle down because there are no outside distractions?

Not really. Unless your name is Brandon Dubinsky, rumors around this team and who might be shipped out were practically non-existent.

They were being asked about Rick Nash on a daily basis, how they would feel it would affect chemistry, blah blah blah.

I think this team absolutely got a little in their heads about the deadline because the crazier the Nash stuff got, they worse they looked.

I think the focus comes back to, ya know, the team and hockey now and they can just play their game.

No way. There is a huge difference between being affected by questions about a teammate not going to the White House and constant questions about switching teams and uprooting your life.

There is absolutely no American sports league less appealing to me than the MLS. I'd rather watch literally anything else.

Edit: There was an MLS commercial on Versus, that's why I said this. Although I'd see nothing wrong with taking a random potshot at the MLS.

Fun period. Agree with Emrick and McGuire that it has a playoff feel. Don't think the Rangers like that Devils have won last two. Kovalchuk seems like a different player on the Devils from the floater he was on the Thrash.

Hank played well, again. Marty creates so many problems for himself, if he was my goalie as he is right now I'd hate him.

Most heated game of the year, I think. There's some genuine hatred out there.

Rangers/Devils has been the Rangers best rivalry by far the last 20 years. Rangers/Flyers is still good, Rangers/Isles has been trash forever now.

Volchenkov never touched the puck with his hands. It was between or under his legs the whole time.

The rule is covering the puck, it doesn't have to be just with a hand.

QUOTE
No defending player, except the goalkeeper, will be permitted to fall on the puck, hold the puck, pick up the puck, or gather the puck into the body or hands when the puck is within the goal crease. For infringement of this rule, play shall immediately be stopped and a penalty shot shall be ordered against the offending team, but no other penalty shall be given. The rule shall be interpreted so that a penalty shot will be awarded only when the puck is in the crease at the instant the offense occurs. However, in cases where the puck is outside the crease, Rule 63 may still apply and a minor penalty may be imposed, even though no penalty shot is awarded. The significant factor when determining whether or not a penalty shot is warranted is the location of the puck at the time it was held, grabbed or gathered into the body. If the puck is in the crease, penalty shot. If the puck is outside the crease and gathered into the body of a player (other than the goalkeeper) who is inside the crease, minor penalty). See also Rule 67 – Handling Puck.

That was not a penalty shot but Mcdonaugh against Philly was? Huh?

Volchenkov never touched the puck with his hands. It was between or under his legs the whole time.

The rule is covering the puck, it doesn't have to be just with a hand.

I think it was Clarkson too

Pierre McGwire is stalker-level creepy when it comes to Ryan McDonagh. He's one step away from saying that he has a dreamy smile and trusting eyes.

Now now. I don't think Pierre would cheat on Sidney like that.
