When Michael showed up I fist pumped like Tiger Woods after he nails a putt.

How he was written in was perfect. As soon as I realized last week that it was going to be Dwight's wedding, I knew there was no way he wouldn't show up, even if I was less of a cameo with him being in the background watching the wedding and leaving or something.

I thought it was pretty brilliant to only have him have 2 lines. The fans got to see him like they wanted, and he didn't overshadow the episode at all. He could've easily been at the panel and the after party and wasn't, and I think that was a good idea.

Yeah, I think last week was the last traditional episode and this week was the goodbye, what they are doing where they are going thing.

I dunno, it did a good job of being pretty realistic to how people say goodbye as opposed to cliches, even if they were there.

I loved last night, I'm not complaining, but I am curious how the entire documentary aired in its entirety a year ago, but consisted of 9 years worth of footage.

The goodbyes were so heartfelt. You almost couldn't tell if it was the character or the actor saying goodbye. I'm gonna miss this show. sad.gif

I think he delivered the 2 best lines of the episode!

In the end he only missed 2 seasons, I wish he could of stayed on for all 9.

I'm really gunna miss it to. You know what it reminded me of? Leaving high school or college and knowing you will most likely never see some of these people again. I knew exactly what Darryl was talking about when he said "all I ever thought about was leaving here and now it's hard to go". When I left a job a few years ago that I was at for 5 years it was really hard to walk out of the office.

Will Big Bang Theory or HIMYM have similar feelings when their shows eventually come to an end?

I think it will be different...something about The Office was different.

Did you guys notice the lady who runs officetally.com had a cameo as a person asking a question at the Q&A?
I thought that was cool they included her. I recognized her right away.

HIMYM will end on a "everyone is ready to go off on their own, Ted is happy and we met the mother" thing. So to me it will be a content feeling more than a sad it's over deal.

I like BBT and HIMYM but I don't care for the characters anywhere near as much as I do for the ones in the office. A poor ending by those two shows won't bother me like a poor ending for The Office would have.

Easily the best episode of this half-season. Can't wait for the 50th Anniversary Special.

Agreed. Can't wait to see what they do with "John Hurt as 'The Doctor'".

Kinda laughing right now because I've been watching season one of community and people really view the past of this show through rose colored Harmon glasses.

You thought season four focused too much on relationships and Harmon never did that? Heh. Jeff chasing britta, britta and Vaughn, Jeff and Annie, annie and Vaughn, Annie wanting Troy, troy wanting Annie, jeff and his teacher, britta being jealous of the teacher, ahbeds msytery girl

That's not even all of them

Well, I'm glad you're snickering to yourself, but who made this argument? Who is this "you?" People on this board? I don't remember seeing it anywhere, and Season 4 hardly dealt with romantic relationships.

People loved Harmon because he was weird and clever. People disliked Season 4 because it was rarely weird or clever. People liked Harmon because every now and then he'd step back and get sweetly sentimental. People disliked Season 4 because it tried that but only occasionally rang true.

Some people hated Season 4. Some people loved it. No one much cares, outside of maybe NBC.

I still haven't seen the finale since I just keep forgetting, but I think there weren't enough relationships especially with Troy and Britta this season. The breakup episode where they pretend to switch bodies because Troy can't break up with Britta on his own would have been fantastic if they had a whole 22 episodes to develop it.

The whole season just felt rushed, which was going to happen due to its short order.
