Fuck dude! The Coyotes jersey I'm stripping just got a bath of Vertical Epic.

Well, it WILL increase the value of the jersey though. Indeed, old chap.

Pete only drinks from macho glasses. I guess they're chipped, and then filled with with whatever beer was on sale.

No. Every six pack of Arrogant Bastard that you buy comes with a pre-stamped mailer for you to return the carton directly back to the brewery for recycling. Less rainforests are destroyed that way, less chemicals spewed into the atmosphere from carton manufacturing. They send you a sticker if you comply.

QUOTE(Giac @ Jun 1 2009, 05:03 PM) *
Rhino, Meadow Gold Dairies is the primary purveyor of POG juice in the islands; they also own the old Haleakala Dairy brand, which is the company that first marketed POG here. You can make it yourself, if you can find passionfruit and guava juice on the mainland. I understand there's a Motts brand called Mauna La'i -- their "Paradise Passion" juice is passion fruit and guava juice, so you'd only need to add a splash of OJ to get basically the same thing.

The simplest thing to do is click on the Meadow Gold Link above, then click on "Where to Get It." It'll say "locations coming soon," but to the left of the white box center screen is a pdf order form -- they can ship you the concentrate, if you wish. (If you click on the "Out and About With POG link, they even have a couple of pictures with their mascot and a couple of bikinied surfer girls).

Hope this helps!

Thanks Giac. I'll go searching for that Motts juice and start experimenting.

I used to enjoy those back in the day. My recipe was Vanilla Stoli (the Smirnov vanilla twist vodka is pretty gross, IMO), OJ and some Sprite for the fizz.

In college I used to down something similar before heading to the bars...Stoli Vanil and Sunkist soda. Easy to pound and will get you buzzed tout de suite.

Excellent choices on both accounts. Have you ever gone higher in the Dogfish IPA family? The 90-minute and 120-minute; although pricey, are also dynamite. Of course, Dogfish Head doesn't make a bad beer. Their Indian Brown Ale is amaaaazing.

They should make you drowsy - they're narcotics. I just haven't taken them because I haven't really needed them. Fortunately, I haven't had much pain. I think I took a couple Tylenol a few days ago, but that was it.

Ever have National Bohemian? The beer with Beefsteak Charlie on the can? sick01.gif How about Koch's Golden Anniversary? That was the default ultracheap beer in college (this was when things were so tight that we couldn't afford Yuengling - which is the ultimate college beer as it is cheap and delicious).

I'd never had National Bohemian(I had heard of it though) but we actually carried Golden Anniversary up until a few years ago. That stuff was brutal.

Natty made you vomit? I've never really had a bad experience like that with it or any beer for that matter.

Well, I'm sure it also had something to do with 48 or so beers and handful of shots of Everclear I had that night.

Lately...

Beer:
Budweiser original American Ale. I must say it's actually pretty good and i was surprised by AB doing something of good taste.
Michelob. For easy going beer that you just want to drink ice cold after getting home from a hot day and a walk....it's fine.

Wine:
Dolcetto. Very smooth and great body to it.

Liquors:
Val D'aosta, Genepy. Genepy Ottoz is an excellent liquor near my mom's region in Northern Italy. It's herbal and very good for your digestive system. I like it, and it's impossible to find, so...a friend had his mom bring it. It's fantastic...and the kind of liquor you can use to make some very interesting recipes, but since we only have one bottle, and almos halfway done, we can't waste any.

I need to get some Tequila. What do we recommend (without getting too expensive)?

Mexican Silver - it comes in a clear plastic jug, so you know it's quality stuff!

For shooting:
Monte Alban, it's Mezcal, which has the worm in it, and I think it's twice distilled or something like that. Very good, somewhat smoky taste. It runs about 25-30 for a 750.

Right now I'm trying a bottle of Two Fingers, which is a silver tequila. Pretty good stuff, shoots well.

If instead you are looking for tequila for margarita, then any of the 20 dollar or less bottles will work. Anything more expensive is a waste, just avoid things in plastic bottles.

Tried Ouzo this weekend. I later texted a friend that ouzo tasted like what would happen if licorice fucked vodka.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Low grade tequila, in margaritas or otherwise, will leave you with a nasty hangover. You need to use at least a decent grade of tequila to prevent that unfortunate occurance. We use, at the very least, Cuervo 1800 for whatever the occasion.

Careful -- that's 'Taki's national drink you're talking about. My wife and I think Tsantali is awesome!
