I really don't know why they put Jones back in the line up.
Cameron looked great and the US played the best game in the Jurgen era. So far Jones made a dumb mistake and the entire team just looks blah. -------------------- |

Against a team that applied zero pressure on the midfielders when they had the ball. The one thing I'll say.
Seeing the Jurgen plan go into effect, the runs I see with this team and the long distance passing I'm seeing is so much better from what you've seen in other American strategies. It always seemed the US would do a soccer version of dump and chase. Kick it 40 yards and see if we can outrun the opposition. Now? I've seen more purpose with it. You see a guy 40 yards make a move to get a run towards the goal. Now, this is coming against teams like Honduras, Panama and Jamaica. Will it translate when they have to play a team like Belgium again, or a world power in the world cup (doubtful they get such a lucky draw again)? That remains to be seen -------------------- |

Random question.. When did Sam's Army turn into the American Outlaws? What a stupid new name in my opinion.
I still wonder where Landon will fit in here with this strategy of sending balls from out wide into the box. From what I recall he often played on the outer wings, and that doesn't seem to fit his skills. The question is if he goes into the middle, who would he replace? The way this team seems to be setting up is with Altidore as a in the box striker with Dempsey close in behind and then Bradley as a lock in the middle. Just saw the h-lites of U-21 Italy-Spain Championship. Looked like a good game except for Spain doing a pathetic dive to get a penalty and the ref was right there and called it. Sucked.
