was only 50 percent with predictions in Semis.
Rangers in 7 (I hope it takes less games, but superticious streak have to be kept). Series will again come down to goaltending. Lundqvist has to continue quest to crown best goalie in hockey. Brodeur is getting bye on experienec and most of times he is guessing shots and flopping all over the ice like a seal. Debbies shooters shoot at where stick is going to be and not necessarily at opposing goalie.

LA in 6. Kings have just too much firepower for Coyotes.

I'll go Kings in 6.

The only thing I can say about the Rangers and Devils is I think one way or another it's going 5 games.

Either A) The Rangers can expose the Devils defense and Brodeur and continue to neutralize the opposing offense or...

B) The Rangers hit a physical wall. Remember, they essentially played 8 games in this series.

If the Kings win, it will be the first time two American Captains have faced off for the Stanley Cup.

The Coyotes will pull it out. Can't have two large media markets in the Stanley Cup Finals. That would be counter to everything the NHL stands for.

I think the Rangers will feel a ton less pressure this series due to familiarity, zero travel and getting over the 2nd round hump.
Let's also not forget that there will be plenty of Rangers fans in NJ. Which might help just a little.

I'll be on a plane to Italy during Game 6 and it would be really tough to see Game 7 but not impossible.
I think they win in 6, but am rooting for 5 games of course.

I like the Kings in the West in 6.

or the biggest shiz ever. NY Vs. LA

*which i will amend to say will probably be a bigger national general sports story, NY Vs. LA than an actual hockey one.

Two O6's in the finals would be as big as it could get, right?

Ohhhhh okay. Nevermind then.

From a marketing standpoint, there's nothing bigger than New York vs. Los Angeles. That should be the dream match-up for any sport. Maybe...MAYBE New York/Chicago because of how much more of a hockey town Chicago is than L.A. but, just going by sheer market size, nothing touches New York and L.A. Especially when you factor in all the previous Yankees-Dodgers and Knicks-Lakers stuff too.

If its a NY/LA SCF it will continue that trend of a team from the Winter Classic playing a team that started the season in Europe (Yes I know the Rangers did both).

I agree. While Quick has been stellar, what has turned the Kings into probably the current Cup favorite is the emergence of their offense, and Brown has been the leader of that.

Right now I'd go.

1) Smith
2) Brown
3) Lundqvist
4) Kovalchuck
5) Quick

Been more nastiness in this game tonight than at any point of any series in the 2nd round. To me, this is the perfect balance of mean hockey without crossing into bizarro territory we saw in the opening round.

My "narrative" of the best 8th seed ever continues.

The Kings just dominated the Coyotes. That score isn't indicative of the game. NBCSN with this stat. The Kings had 90 attempted shots in that game. 90!

6-0 on the road now as well.

Rangers in one period. Beat that.

Marty shat his pants at the prospect of being humiliated by the Rangers again and declared to the hockey world that he and his team will forfeit the round.

RANGERS ARE GOING TO THE FINALS BABY!

I don't know if there is a more respected but dirtier player than Doan.

All I hear is how good of a person he is. How great a leader he is. Yet I constantly see him getting involved in situations like he is Matt Cooke.

You realize one of the reasons people like to jump down your throat is stuff like this.

--------------------
I can come to terms with the senseless violence, I understand that bad things happen to good people and that God doesn't intercede in mortal affairs in the way we might want him to, but what I don't understand is why he dyed his hair red. Doesn't the Joker have green hair? What, was Sally's Beauty Supply out of Electric Lizard Manic Panic or something?
