So Pelf may not be out for the season? Reports now are 3-5 weeks? Who knows.
Valdespin will play left field tomorrow (Squeeeeeee, hopefully he's not a cocky dick and can fit in with this group, he's a pure talent). When Torres comes back soon (will be playing his 3rd rehab game in St. Lucie) he'll play Center and Nieuwenhuis will play Left with Bay hurt. I believe those two will be in a platoon when Bay comes back because Kirk has been playing very well. He's not ready! Give him time to develop his offspeed pitches and control in AAA, so that he'll do better in the majors. It's not wise to rush him developmentally.

Hey man I'm just saying. Been following Harvey's game in Buffalo. if he gets his walk rate down, and better control of his changeup and 4th pitch he should be up by then. He's had 4+ quality starts in a row. You followed Bentances and Montero, I follow Harvey and Wheeler.

Well. I didn't realize all he needed to change was his pitch command and lower his walk rate in 1.5 months for he could be in the majors.
 I'm not hating on the prospect or you following the system like I do with the Yankees, just ease up on the projections a little bit with ETA. If he makes his debut at any point during the summer and holds his own you guys should be pleased. I'm just going off the way he's improved and how the organization has said they don't want to rush him but feel if he is ready in July they won't NOT call him up just to keep him in AAA.
He's got a ways to go and those were the improvements he has to make is all I was saying. Harvey has shown he can make adjustments at the AAA level very quickly which works in his favor. He is walking less people, and his changeup is coming along. Its not like he's not shown to do that. I'm VERY optimistic about this guy, and yeah I understand that its a crapshoot. I just want the Mets to succeed this year and if he has shown after a few more starts he is ready to take on that 5th starter role (because Chris Young is a stopgap not a panacea for that 5th spot) then let's see what he's got man. If he needs more time in Buffalo they can send him down and he'll just work harder to get to NY (his work ethic seems legit as he was genuinely pissed the fuck off he didn't make the mets out of camp. he didn't deserve to be in the big leagues but I love his desire). -------------------- Wade Redden is my hero, and shall be revered forever.

How has Valdespin looked in his call up? I know his only hit is that insane 3-R HR he hit against the Phillies, but how has he looked defensively?
