WOW! Yale is going to the Frozen Four! They beat Univ. of Minnesota Friday 9 sec into OT and then today down 1-0 for most of the game score 4 goals in the last half of the 3rd period to beat Univ.of North Dakota and advance to Frozen Four. Yale w/no athletic scholarships beats 2 of the perennial college hockey powerhouses.

As I just said in the NYR thread, I wish I knew about the NH vs. Lowell game tonight as both teams are a short drive away. Go UNH, I guess.
Which UMASSes have hockey teams, just Lowell and Amherst? Their website treats it as one team. I don't get it. |

Union embarrassed BC 5-1. Can't remember the last time I'd seen BC get outplayed like that. The Frozen Four is going to have a field of teams that have never won a Nat'l title. I don't think that's ever happened before.

Yale kicks ass. Down 3-0 Quinnipiac pulls goalie w/ 7 min left. I've never seen that before.
Yale was the last team to punch their ticket to the regionals. 4th seed in Frozen 4. They have the 2nd worst winning pct ever of a Nat'l Champion.They beat Minnesota , No. Dakota and UMASS/Lowell to get there. They were 0-3 v. Quinnipiac during the reg. season,outscored 13-3 . Quinnipiac has 11 seniors . This was their shot. Yale's goalie Malcolm should get player of the tournament. A shutout in finals and it was a legit shutout too. He made some huge saves to keep it scoreless.... and it's his birthday.How cool is that? BEST....BIRTHDAY....EVER!
