Has anyone else heard about this?

I think it's a little strange that nobody else has this as a story. It's nowhere to be found on TSN or NHL.com.

The Devils have sunk so low they can't even get coverage for the fact they never ever support from anyone.

The Devils were a stupid idea to begin with. Really. How many hockey fans could there be available with NJ hockey fans being surrounded by Rangers, Isle's, and Flyers for years? I hope they just pack up and leave.

Why? The Devils/Rangers is one of the few remaining rivalries with any intensity.

Sadly, if the ratings have anything to say about it, we're the only ones who care. The Bruins/Lighting drew better ratings than Devils/Rangers.

Team wise? Yes. The Devils have been a great rival. But the fans? Suck. I say that if the Devils move out, the Rangers and Isle's rivalry grows a lot more and at least they have long time fans that actually care.

What would suck is BOTH teams leave, which sadly, is not impossible anymore.

You have Long Island which doesn't want to build a stadium and New Jersey is bankrupt. Meanwhile you have Seattle, Quebec City and Kansas City salivating for teams.

I doubt both go, but it's honestly not fun. It would suck to lose either rival much less both.

I don't agree with what Thomas did at the White House event. I don't agree with how he is handling this now either. But, people take it a step further than just disagreeing with what he does and just show bitterness. You accuse him of doing this for trade posturing, and i say you just hate the guy because he dislikes Obama and if it was the other way around where he did this to a GOP president, you would have a different tone.

Really? Put a sock in it. Doesn't have anything to do w/people not liking Thomas because he doesn't like Obama. People were upset w/Thomas because he took a decades old apolitical event honoring professional sports championship teams and made it political w/his refusal to attend because he disagreed w/Obama's administration. He put his political beliefs above his team . In a ceremony meant to honor the Bruins for accomplishing the momentous team goal of winning the Stanley Cup, Thomas made it about the individual. The event has nothing to do w/politics and this is what pisses off people in Rangerland . So yet again you stir the pot by playing the politics card and yes even if it was a GOP president people would still be pissed if Thomas or another hockey player did this.
