Lockout has ended and the corpse of Brett Favre may be back! Get your football nerd on in this thread, unless it's Jets or Giants related.

Fenway Park, in Boston, is a lyric little bandbox of a ballpark. Everything is painted green and seems in curiously sharp focus, like the inside of an old-fashioned peeping-type Easter egg. It was built in 1912 and rebuilt in 1934, and offers, as do most Boston artifacts, a compromise between Man's Euclidean determinations and Nature's beguiling irregularities. - John Updike

I think this season is gonna be a mess. Injuries all over the place, rookies useless more than usual and good teams with slow starts. Normal season prep is out the window. Could be fun, could be ugly.

And yeah...I was just in the car and Kay and Fatso were audibly foaming at the mouth talking about football.

Redskins and Vikings have worked out the parameters to trade McNabb to Minnesota, but its depending on the Vikings being able to restructure his deal with him, so who knows if it'll happen.

Oh, and Marion Barber released

Was this a Shanahan problem or ownership problem with McNabb?

It was a love-hate thing. Dazzling punt return or screen pass TD, fumbleitis/injury bug/run parallel to the line of scrimmage the entire length of the field and gain 1 yard.

The Saints drafted Mark Ingram this year, so that's the direction they're headed.

McNabb pretty much sucked last year. He wasn't fast enough to run, didn't see wide-open receivers, and held on to the ball way too long instead of unloading it - resulting in yardage losses where he could easily of just gotten a no-gain.

So the Pats trade for 2 potential headaches in Ochocinco and Haynesworth. Should be interesting to see how this plays out. I say Haynesworth dogs it before Ochocinco.

Ochocinco is not a lazy player. He is just eccentric. He has always wanted to play in New England so I'm expecting him to play well.

McNabb pretty much sucked last year. He wasn't fast enough to run, didn't see wide-open receivers, and held on to the ball way too long instead of unloading it - resulting in yardage losses where he could easily of just gotten a no-gain.

So, a perfect fit for Minnesota!

I love the Breaston signing for the Chiefs, good slot receiver. That offense is gonna be exciting. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Breaston is a good fantasy sleeper. He would have had killer stats last year if not for injury and lack of a decent quarterback. I should know this but who's QB for the chiefs?

So the Pats trade for 2 potential headaches in Ochocinco and Haynesworth. Should be interesting to see how this plays out. I say Haynesworth dogs it before Ochocinco.

Haynesworth fucking cracks me up. I would say that I'm so looking forward to this blowing up in their face but Bellicheck will give him the Moss treatment as soon as it becomes clear it's not working out.

Yince Young to the Eagles. I guess they're stockpiling running QBs.

Yeah. I heard they were going after Vince Young too. Where did Yince play in college? Yexas?

Duh! Thank you.

Yeah, Steve Breaston is a great late round pickup up in fantasy football this year!
