Pineda on the 15-Day DL with shoulder tendinitis so Sweaty Freddy gets the 5th spot in the rotation for now. Also, Cesar Cabral has an elbow fracture which gives Clay Rapada the 2nd lefty in the bullpen spot.

Pettitte has no direct effect on this. Besides, he is a low-risk/high reward depth signing anyway.

Yankees traded relief prospect George Kontos to the Giants for backup catcher Chris Stewart. They also sent Cervelli down to AAA. I liked Kontos.
