The one thing I'll say is Nashville is going for it. They may lose Suter, but they're going for a Cup run right now. Will be interesting to see what happens with this team/

I'm not sure what happened behind the scenes, but this reminds me of the NY Jets horrible off-season where they spent a week chasing the big fish in Asomugha and let the opportunity to fill lots of other holes with solid players pass them by.

I am just shocked that the bottom league teams, like Montreal, Columbus, and Carolina, did not dump the majority of the players. They are expensive, failing teams and got nothing for it.

Since it's already beyond the comprehension of most NHL brass that Howson even has a job, nixing all offers for Nash could have been Patrick's ace in the hole to get Howson the axe once and for all.
