Shaving/getting a haircut Wednesday. Not touching the beard until the season is over. Which is hopefully with a Castaway beard in Manhattan at the parade.

Good video:

My husband has had his beard since October. He was going to shave it once he got to Vegas this weekend but he remembered that he can't now that it's the playoffs.

Fenway Park, in Boston, is a lyric little bandbox of a ballpark. Everything is painted green and seems in curiously sharp focus, like the inside of an old-fashioned peeping-type Easter egg. It was built in 1912 and rebuilt in 1934, and offers, as do most Boston artifacts, a compromise between Man's Euclidean determinations and Nature's beguiling irregularities. - John Updike

My husband shaved his beard this morning. I've missed his face without it (he's had a beard since October), but the hockey fan in me wants to kill him because it's the playoffs!

I always want to do a playoff beard, but I also start with a beard, so it's weird. Like, do I just go for the uber-wolfman look? I feel like I'm cheating without starting fresh, but I look like an idiot clean-shaven.

My beards now past the 'homeless hobo' stage and is already entering the 'stranded on a desert island' look.

You know, you're allowed to trim ad maintain it after a loss. You don't have to look like someone who doesn't know what a blade and running water are during the playoffs.

Anyway, I stopped shaving right before the first game of the playoffs and shaved it off this morning. OH MY GOD THEY ARE GOING TO LOSE BECAUSE OF MY FACIAL HAIR!!!

You're not a good fan. But yeah, I trim the beard after every series just to keep it uniform.

You're not a good fan, you're trimming away victory! You're only supposed to trim after a loss to try and change the luck.

edit: trimming after a loss instead of a series also helps you look less like a hobo.

I usually have some scruf so if I shaved after a loss no one would notice I was growing a playoff beard.

The Rangers site says trimming is between rounds rather than after losses. I did have a trim after the Sens game 7 but its getting pretty out of control again.

I'll upload a photo to my beardathon page soon. Should be good for a giggle.
