Fenway Park, in Boston, is a lyric little bandbox of a ballpark. Everything is painted green and seems in curiously sharp focus, like the inside of an old-fashioned peeping-type Easter egg. It was built in 1912 and rebuilt in 1934, and offers, as do most Boston artifacts, a compromise between Man's Euclidean determinations and Nature's beguiling irregularities. - John Updike

Jesus, I have a test at 8.

It's going to be really hard to turn off the game after only a period or so. Even harder because I literally couldn't care less about this test.

Already got the nerves going ... this is gonna be a slow, anxiety-riddled day.

It was so nice to watch 3 games last nite (NBC has sweet coverage, btw) without anxiety or vested interest (although I'm ashamed to admit how excited I got when Philly tied the game).

That all ends tonite.

Does anyone know if this game is being streamed on nhl.com? I am stuck at a training in Nashua, NH and have no hope to catch it at the bar since the Bruins will be playing at the same time basically.

Doubtful given that NHL has a pay service to watch games online - NHL Game Center.

Which sucks since I pay for Center Ice on Directv, yet it gives you no access to Game Center

Am I the only one that's not nervous yet (and by "yet" I mean at this point in the series, not time of day)?

Q: What do the Ottawa Senators and possums have in common?

A: Both play dead at home and get killed on the road!

I will be at the memorial service for my Grandmother during Saturday's game; how awful would it be to try to watch the game on my phone or something?

Pretty low, I think. Though I totally support frequent score updates.

I hope they have Ace Frehley sing New York Groove again, because that was, um, awesome, last time?

Holy crap. I forgot about that.

Only you know your grandmother so you're the only one who can answer this. Would your grandmother take offense or feel slighted by this?

I hope tonight is wild. It's going to be different because they are opening at home.

Interesting fact....the Rangers haven't opened a playoff series at home since Round 1 of the 1995-96 playoffs.

Well, I meant interesting that they've been shitty that long. And they made the playoffs in 1997 you dolt.

They were the lower seed in all three series.

I NEVER clock-watch at work. Today I'm like "Ok, last time I looked at the clock it was 12:54. Not bad. I made a few phone calls, and typed a letter, let me see now . . . 12:59?!?!?!? ARGH!"
