How much does everyone get a night?

I function off 5-6 hours usually...not sure how I do it or if it is even healthy.

A good night? 8-9 hours.

Most nights? 6-8, usually hovering around that 7 mark.

Preferably 7-9 hours. I try for 8 unless I'm really tired.

No it's not healthy. There was a study that found that sleep deprived people lose a certain number of years of life expectancy depending on how sleep deprived they are. I've been trying to get to bed by 10:00 each night. That would give me 7.5 - 8 hrs a night. I'm getting better at it but need to try harder.
BTW those of you who stayed up to watch the game , you all lost 1 yr of life expectancy

Same here. Usually 6 hours is enough for me. I can function pretty well and ever since I cut out caffine after 4pm the six hours is even more restful. These past two months though have been another story. Between my kid being sick and then getting sick myself my sleep pattern has become a mess. Just in time for spring allergies! Then the summer paradox of it being too hot to sleep without AC but being unable to rest comfortably with the AC on! *sigh*

Studies also show that 8 hours a night is too much and is linked to coronary disease and depression.

About six. I have a sleep app that tracks how many hours per night I've slept and how much sleep debt I'm in. So on average, six per night.

Luckily, I usually don't have to work until the afternoon, so I get to sleep as long as I can. However, I don't like to get more than 8. I'm generally a night owl, so if I get into bed at 2, I set an alarm for 10.

I worked 22 hours on Tuesday, and got 2.5 hours sleep.

I stayed awake for the entire game last night and got just about 4 hours last night.

So I'm going on 6.5 for the last two days.

Generally though, I get about 4-5 a night if I'm lucky.

I usually get about 7.5-8 a night during the week, weekends can be a bit less maybe closer to 6.5-7hrs. But I am never able to sleep the whole way through, I wake up a few times during the night and am up a few minutes before falling back asleep.

My greyhound wakes me up anytime between 2 am and 4 am when she comes upstairs into our bedroom and whimpers because she wants to get in our bed.

I used to have to get 8 hours, but I've figured out 6-7 works just fine for me.

Of course, when I get the opportunity, I'll go for 11-12.

This is exactly my sleep pattern. A lot of the time I'm up every 2 hours (or sometimes even 1) pretty much on the dot.
