That US roster just wasn't very good. Our best forward was Bobby Ryan (who's very good), but they didn't have any depth. Beyond him it was just Stastny and Pacioretty and young guys.
On defense, they only had Jack Johnson and Goligoski as players with significant time in the league. Tough loss, but it's hard to complain when you send your C team. |

They were playing as a good team though. They should have beat Finland. But they collapsed and played a defensive shell. I knew we weren't going to win, but it would have been nice to make the Semis. Russia's going to win the championship Holy Shit they are good.
