meh, Texas will suck again this year. Looks like my Saturdays are gonna be mostly free, again, this fall!

Given, if/when any of Louisville, Cincinnati, and Rutgers loses, they will tumble out of the rankings faster than Arkansas after losing to Louisiana-Monroe, but still. The conference isn't a total joke. |

He blew out his ACL last year and missed most of the season. He was expected to go pretty high in the draft this year too. Man, I am NOT a South Carolina fan at all but I don't like seeing somebody's career possibly being ended like that. It didn't look like a broken leg but more of a very serious knee strain. His knee cap looked like a fucking distressed water balloon after the hit. Ugh. That's gonna be in my head all day now.

A sprain is worse but if it was like Blue described it he probably tore his ligament(s) completely. His knee is probably shredded. This kid was counting on being drafted and getting a big payday. Fighting Irish !!!!! 8-0.
They put a smackdown on OU 30-13. The last minute was fucking great! ND scored a late TD after OU failed on a 4th down deep in their territory. So now OU scores what looks like a TD inside the last minute, on a pass to OU WR Stills to make the final 30-20. Stills starts talking shit to the ND def back because they pretty much shut his ass down the entire game and somehow that meaningless TD means he schooled ND . Then he's still talking shit across the field while he's on the sideline. Problem is they reviewed the play and he was out of bounds on the 1/2 yd line and they overturn the TD.  ! Now he comes back out on the field and he's pissed. So Landry calls his number again in the huddle and he hits him for a quick TD on an out pattern. Problem is he pushes the Irish DB down to get open .Offensive pass interference ! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Fuck you Stills you douche! Now they're back on the 15 and they sack Landry to end the game. Sweet! To quote that fossil Brent Musberger: "The Irish are relevant again!"They finally allowed a rushing TD tonight for the first time since last November against BC. Only gave up 15 yds rushing. I don't see them moving up in the rankings though given what the teams ahead of them did. Some guy who doesn't seem to be credible has reported that Lattimore broke his femur and tore all four knee ligaments.
Have to wait for verification before I believe it, but watching that play it's hard not to think it was that bad. -------------------- I can come to terms with the senseless violence, I understand that bad things happen to good people and that God doesn't intercede in mortal affairs in the way we might want him to, but what I don't understand is why he dyed his hair red. It's a long bone, so embolized fat can travel thru your blood vessels and clog up your circulation. Whatever organs those capillaries perfuse ,don't get oxygen and those organs die. A broken femur needs to be set as soon as possible to reduce that risk. I was all set to type a scathing post regarding Notre dame's game w/Pitt.
I watched the first qtr but had some shit to do and didn't get back to the game unti midway thru 3rd qtr when I stopped at pub down the street to order a pizza and have a few beers. They were down 10-6 and it went downhill from there. Poor tackling , no consistency on offense ,poor situational play selection, special teams play that allowed Pitt great field position most of the game, and a brutal interception that killed a drive when they were down 20-6. They managed a TD to get to 20-12 and then missed the PAT. I figured they were finished. They had another chance but Golson threw an INT in the red zone w/ a little over 2 min left .Figured they were toast but miraculously they got the ball back and Golson completed a 45 yd pass to the Pitt 5 and then a TD pass and 2 pt conv. to tie it. Unbelieveably they pull out another W ,this time in 3 OTs. They've burned me a number of times in recent years. Everytime they've looked like they might be turning the program around,and gotten my hopes up, they've gone out and lost a game to some unranked scrub team they should have beaten. They still have the potential to lose one of these games this yr but so far they're hanging in there. While Golson is OK he's not a top notch QB and this could come back to bite ND in the ass down the road. The defense has been a strong point so far but today they looked like crap. That was the 1st LSU TD against Bama in the last 150 minutes or so of game time. Crazy. Looked like Bama was going to pull away with this. Big drive coming up here for Bama, up 4.

Yeah, that was the only game I've watched all year, and that was brutal. When LSU got that last 1st down deep with about two minutes left, I actually thought to myself for a second, "wow, this is over." And when Lundqiust said, "hard to have any confidence in Bama here," I knew there was no way Bama was losing.
