Yup. In 1992-93 they were dead last in the division.

I'm leaning towards the 75th patch because of how classic it looks. But Scott, you're saying that Kocur was one of the Black Aces in 1994? I thought he played a good amount of games that year AND playoffs but got hurt in the Finals.

I just meant for the Playoffs/Finals. I guess it was just that he got injured.

Kocur only sat in game 7 due to injury, Kypreos was the black ace. Mostly because he really sucked.

And he almost killed himself in Game 7 too. Remember when he tried to make a check on one of the Canucks but missed and went head-first into the base of the boards? I don't know how he didn't break his neck.

Pretty much the answer to any question about a non-current style jersey is usually eBay.

That said, they went from being fairly common to pretty rare over the last year and a half or so. I picked one up about 2 years ago but have been keeping an eye out for another to help a fellow jersey collector with not much luck.

Are you looking for an authentic or replica? What size do you need?

I am fine with a replica. I just like it because it's funky. I called a hockey store just a little while ago within driving distance that had (CCM Replica) one for $49. Is this a good price?

I'd say the price is fair - but it's really up to you. You gotta think that it cost twice that or more when it was a current style.

One thing I love about that jersey is that from a distance the color looks like a "burnt mustard" but when you see it up close you can see it's actually gold mesh with navy underneath which a cool effect.

That's prett awesome. I always wondered why any team would pick that awful color. I now have a new-found respect for the Nashville Predators!

Well, the whole gold/navy thing was always part of their jersey colors so I guess it was just a radical design attempt. The material was cool but I wasn't a fan of the crest. It was just strange. The Wolfpack tried that a few years ago and it was unsettling to look at. I don't know why but it is. I would have liked to have seen the Preds use the skull logo that they had on the shoulders of those thirds as the main crest. That would have been pretty cool I think.

It's Willie Mitchell. I WISH I could have gotten the Jack Johnson one but I think it was listed at about $1,750. Of all the ones I looked at, this one was described as having the most 'wear' on it. It's a one-game wonder but I don't care. A friend of mine who works with the Kings was at the game last night and grabbed it from the team store for me. I'm sending him about 5 or 6 of my jerseys and then some cash to equate the value of that one. Needless to say, I'm quite happy.

New Blue Jackets 3rd is released.

http://blog.dispatch.com/cbj/2010/11/the_c..._unveiled.shtml

It's...unique to say the least. The front crest looks like the cover of 'For Those About to Rock...'. Oh and here's the new mascot:

Is everyone going to have the Blues third jersey? I love those but we can we try to show some originality around the league? Also no way around it, those number came straight off the scoreboard of Combat.

The Ducks were the last team in the league to release their 3rd jersey and they did it today.

It's terrible. There's almost no difference between it and the regular home jersey.

I don't know...I actually thought that when the Flyers went to those all-black monstrosities a few years back. As much as I hate the Flyers, their design really is classic and hasn't been tweaked much during the entire 40+-year history.

I was in a jersey shop up in Buffalo this past weekend and came across an "authentic" Ryan Miller USA jersey complete with fight strap. But upon further inspection by my wife, she saw that the inner tag said Reebok, which is odd because it is a Nike issued jersey. So we returned it.

Anyone know a legit place to find these for a good price? I am fine with a replica. I don't need the real deal. I just dont want a cheap knockoff like I came across.

They've pretty much all dried up except for eBay and even there you have to be careful with what you find. USAHockey.com has them but only in a small. HOWEVER, they also have the World Juniors version for the upcoming tournament in Buffalo but the crest on the chest is slightly different; with a Sabres logo over it.

Believe it or not, that style is closer to the old 1960 version than the Olympic replicas were because they actually use royal blue instead of navy.

Just picked these up from a collector in Germany for the sons of 2 of our best friends. We get together, for an evening and exchange gifts a week or so before Xmas . Traded the guy my Preds Dunham Inaugural season gamer for them.

I've been lax in taking pics of my recent acquisitions, including some patchwork done by our boy Blue, but I thought I'd share this one pic of my haul from the MeiGray clearance section - a pair each of RBK 6100 and Edge 1.0 white Rangers team-issue jerseys, all four combined for less than the retail cost of a blank jersey.

For the Edges, one will be a #21 Stepan rookie hat trick jersey (with 85th anny patch), the other probably a #17 Dubinsky with the NHL Premier Prague patch since Dubi got the game winner that game.

One of the 6100s will be a #27 Mara in honor of his playoff beard. Not sure on the other 6100.

I like the USA theme you have going there. I'm starting to get that way too actually. Picking out the best US born players to go on certain jerseys just because they're American. Nothing wrong with that, I guess.

Heh - I actually didn't even realize they were all US born players. The Mara thing is just jealousy from the Habs gamer you bought, and the Stepan and Dubi came from the need to use patches I've already bought.

I do have a tendency to lean more towards my fellow countrymen when choosing jersey customizations, but they still have to fit my Rangers theme first (which is why I can't have a John Leclair jersey unfortunately).

A friend said he got one as a gift. I asked him what the tags say where it was made, and he said it reads "Made in Korea" Are the replicas really made in Korea for Nike?

I'm not sure. The one I have says Made in Vietnam. Is his blank or does it have a name on the back?
