I'd be shocked if he lost EA Sports simply because there is no other golfer that will sell games like his name does.

EA Sports present Phil Mickelson Golf 2010 just doesn't sound like it's gunna sell that many copies.

This guy is a fuckin weirdo. There are some insanely good looking porn stars these days, like Tori Black and Asa Akira, but Tiger wants none of that. If Joslyn James came up to me in a bar, my first question wouldn’t be, “Will you have sex with me”, it would be, “So how long have you been a woman?”

I don't understand why he isn't pulling out his attorney and demanding that these women either produce legitimate, tangible evidence of his affairs with them, recant their statements, or he will sue their fucking tits off for libel. Nevertheless, with all his endorsements hanging in the balance, the fact that he isn't fighting back against their allegations says that there is some truth to them.

When you're a public figure like Tiger it's very, very, very hard to win a libel case. That's why it was very interesting when Avery filed a libel case.

Also, I don't think this qualifies as libel. Other things, I'm sure, but not necessarily libel.

Michael Kay was going ballistic on the radio today talking about how bad a guy Tiger was. I originally wanted to get on the air just to discuss how I thought this wouldn't hurt him commercially or on the golf course, but then he went off on a rant right before i got on the air. I wanted to call him out on his hypocrisy because never once got this indignant when it came to A-Rod. Not once. And this wasn't about the number of women either, this was just because he cheated.

When I finally got on, I wanted to do one of those, "2 quick things" bringing up my original point and then the second talking about A-Rod , but only got the original point out, which still silenced him, if only for a second.

Judging from the pictures and reports, he was probably fading in and out of consciousness as a result of his wrathful wife hitting him on the head with something. Because it's hard to drive when you have been concussed, he smashed his car.

Local news reporting that Tiger has taken an indefinite leave of absence from the tour. I heard one report the other day that his wife said either you play golf or we stay together. Otherwise she supposedly threatened to move permanently to Sweden. And the report said that when the kids were old enough he can go back golfing, but that she was going to accompany him to all of the events.

If that is true, he should just say "So long, bitch" and pay her the whatever ludicrous amount of money she's asking. Because if he quits golfing for several years, he will without a doubt lose all of his sponsors, which will amount to more money lost in the long run than the 300m or whatever prenup. Besides, Tiger is the breed of athlete who competes until the very end. I just can't see him staying off the course. He has a chance to break all of the golfing records and truly become a golfing legend... If he retires for several years, he will lose that opportunity.

I don't understand the logic here. Anyone? Because he cheats on tour, is that it? Is she punishing him, because she's then in fact punishing herself because the family will have considerably less income. I just don't see the point other than trying to ruin his life like he ruined hers, but I don't see how that really solves anything.

Will she really feel better as a person and on this inside by destroying his professional career AND staying with him?

Well, he has made more than enough money to live off for the rest of their lives. But yes, Tiger lives for golf. As I said, some athletes just don't take losing for an acceptable outcome. Tiger is one, Ovechkin is another. They are competetive until the very end of the contest.

Nevertheless, you have to check the source. The Sun reported this story, so I highly doubt it's true. They are Britain's version of the National Enquirer, and may be even less credible, if that is possible.

WOW...not only did he make money....but everyone else did too of course. The PGA is miserable right now. Tiger IS the industry. He'll be back and when he is...it will be like the return of a King.
Shit....the PGA would probably pay his child support and alimony and let him have hookers serve as his caddy. It would be good for business.

Tiger is a god among ants. There is no one, when Tiger is on his game, who can compete with him. He's just phenomenal, and it's actually fun to watch him play. Golf is really boring to watch, but Tiger is so good that he makes it entertaining. It's like watching Gretzky in his prime or MJ in his prime... Everyone else around looks like amateurs.

Tiger quit golf to try to mend his family. Wow.

QUOTE
I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I’ve done, but I want to do my best to try.
I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What’s most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.
After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.
Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.

Because he's saying "if I were his wife, I'd basically ruin his life." Rational people don't solve their problems with revenge and vindictiveness. And as much of a sleaze as Tiger is, he's still the father of her two children, so I don't think destroying his golf career which will allow those children to have every advantage in life is a very good idea.

There are certainly many many manipulative people out there who would like nothing better than controlling and destroying someone who has hurt them.

That's one way of looking at it, but this woman just may feel her children do not need millions of dollars to be happy and safe. And she may be SO disgusted by him right now that she may feel that her children would be better off without him in their lives. Tiger may be fighting for that right by leaving Golf. From what I'm reading, she doesn't give a damn who he is to everyone else. Which is probably a good trait for a Mom.

Besides... her Prenup would secure their children for the rest of their lives.

Tiger Woods wife, who reportedly has moved out of the Woods’ Mansion, may flee to Faglaro Island, Sweden.

After a couple of brutal weeks in Florida, Tiger Woods’ s wife, Elin Nordegren, plans to escape to her native Sweden. If reports are to be believed - the latest on the Woods’ saga is that the golfer’s scorned wife has bought a 6 bedroom mansion on a small island near Stockholm, Sweden, called Faglaro Island.

The island — which is one of the many islands that make up the Stockholm archipelago, and is only 45 minute ferry from Vaxholm - the place where Nordegren grew up — has about 140 properties, mostly summer homes with only two of the homes being occupied year round. The property that Elin purchased, based on unconfirmed media reports, is one of the largest on the island.

pfft. how is anybody surprised about any of this stuff?
I mean, celebrities fuck. It's what makes being a celebrity so much fun; everybody wants you all the time. Now, when two celebs get married, that has to change? Please. That's crazy talk.

Look. For regular people, wedding vows are held to the printed standard. Everybody knows this. Celebs? Whole other world they live in. It's why so many of those Hollywood weddings are a joke. This nuptial set-up was no different. I mean, shit, it STARTED with a pre-nup, which is Latin for "fail safe".

There are no surprises when celeb marriages fail. There are clear reasons WHY celeb marriages fail. Celebs are nuts. They entertain us, but they are nuts.

Is Tiger a putz for trashing his vows? Sure. But again, he's not on the same plane as us mortals. It's a whole other world where he is.

Tiger is worth Billions. Girls want his stuff. It will be that way until he dies, or can't swing his club anymore. Any supermodel should have known this going in and should not have involved children in their union. There are no surprises here, folks. move along, nothing to see.
