Philly in 6 - As much as I hate them, I have to give them credit; they're built well for the war of attrition.
Sharks in 7 - They have a lot to prove, so I think they make go the distance.

Helluva Game 1. CHI had to kill a penalty in the final minute of the game to preserve a 2-1 lead.
CHI wins Game 1. The winning goal scored by Bugfu--, Buyfu--, uh, that guy.
CHI in 7.
Montreal in 6.

Sharks had too many chances to score. Not gonna happen next time Hawks. Awesome game, though.

They were also 5-to-0 for power play chances too. THAT isn't gonna happen again either. I think Chicago is on their way to the Finals after seeing this game. They were fantastic defensively(Keith especially) and just kept chipping away after San Jose really took it to them in the first period. Patrick Sharp had a damn good game too. They're just clicking on all cylinders right now and I don't see the Sharks posing a problem for them.

You're kidding, right? Have you watched CHI the last couple of seasons? They are damn good. They didn't get here by accident, or by a supposedly better team's failure.

So today was an interesting day for me. As I may have mentioned before my Marching Band teacher (one of the best teacher I've ever had) is a major Flyers fan. A bunch of my friends and I organized for him to get a special gift at our annual awards ceremony from the seniors. Everyone chipped in and we got him a Bobby Clarke NHL vintage jersey. The look on his face was priceless when I gave it to him and I can tell he's going to treat it like Blue treats his gamers. So I get a text message from him today saying that he's at the game wearing the jersey that he subsequently got autographed! Thought that was really cool, but I hope he puts it away for the rest of the playoffs so Montreal can win!
Oh and he's the ONLY Flyers fan I respect because he's the man.

The jury is still out on their goalie situation.
Having said that and knowing Nabakov is not an automatic either, I think this series is going the distance with Sharks winning it in 7.
Coming off from a very emotional and mentality draining series, I didn't expect the Habs winning the 1st game. I think the speed from their forward is going to pose problems to Phillies "D", which I think is not nimble. Let me roll the dice and say Habs in 6.

I'd like to see the Sharks win for the sake of my buddy, Woody. But, if the 'Hawks win, the start times of the Finals games would be more better. Oh, and YAY anybody but philthy.

Yeah, he has. I'm gonna go ahead and change my opinion to say that Chicago will beat San Jose. Nabakov is just not reliable at all, and since both teams are pretty evenly matched in talent, the series will likely come down to whose goalie is better.
The Philly series is interesting. During the regular season, Philly is about the most guilty team in the NHL of clutch-and-grab, so Montreal's big defensive advantage in the past two series is negated somewhat in this one. Philly is strong with the puck and physical, which hurts teams that rely on speed to win. Add in having Pronger shadow Cammerreli (nobody shadowed him in the last two series), and suddenly Montreal seems to be perhaps a bigger underdog against Philly than they were against Pittsburgh or Washington. Nevertheless, the biggest factor is (like in the last two series) goaltending. Philly is playing with a backup backup goalie, while Montreal is riding the hottest goalie in the League. Halak needs to be strong if Montreal wants any chance to win, especially with Philly's best sniper, Jeff Carter, set to return.

I am not actually watching the game, but just by looking at the shot totals, Montreal is dominating play. It's only a matter of time before they get one past Philly's backup-backup goalie.

They are down 2-0 now. They just had an amazing shot, but Leighton is playing out of his mind. Like Guigere in 2003

besides Halak looking crappy has anyone else noticed that in the mike green geico zamboni commercial the caveman's makeup looks almost NOTHING like the normal ones that have been showing all along? That douche probably looks more like what the actual show used for makeup. Still cant believe they made a caveman sitcom out of it although ive never seen it.

If Philly wins the next game, I'm gonna have to root for them in game 4. I'd love to see what kind of a fit the Montreal fans would pitch if their Habs got swept in their own building. I hate Philly, but seeing the Habs fans go batshit crazy would be satisfying enough for me to overlook my hatred for one game.
That said, this could be a very short conference finals, since it looks like the Hawks are taking a 2-0 series lead back to their home.

Somehow, I just can't support anything that gives happiness to philthy fans. So, here's to the Habs losing one more, then winning 4-in-a-row just to
really fuck those fucking fuckers the fuck up. There'd be weeping, moaning and hair pulling in the streets. It would be allsome.

First, they must solve the dominant Michael Leighton(notes), who they've yet to score on.
