Not sure if they're trying to be religiously correct or that they're aware of all the old Jews that migrate to Miami Beach when they retire!

I don't have a problem with it, it just doesn't seem like a very smart idea.
Beer + Piece of Religious Clothing + idiot non Jewish fans = trouble
Sure you can say they are assuming people will be respectful, but that's a pretty big leap of faith

I'd really like to see a hat trick during that game. I know from personal experience that those things carry quite a ways when thrown like a frisbee.

Oh, sure, this is funny - but when I wore a keffiyeh and held up signs recognizing LeBronadan, I ended up with a fatwa declared.

That would be classic!
And they certainly do fly well. That's what Hebrew school was for me; it was a venue where I could play yarmulke frisbee with my fellow classmates. I didn't learn anything, but I became a kippah-throwing pro!

No no. I questioned why he thought you'd flip out. It's just a relatively unpopular hockey team trying to get some press and attract that large jewish population of south florida.

Apparently, the Panthers changed the giveaway seemingly overnight to be only for people who bought single game tickets for that specific game. So if you bought a ticket pack or season tickets, no yarmulkes for you! Fans were outraged.
I really didn't care, obviously not my faith. But i'd be going there for the game more than a hat. I think people would be naive to assume that thousands of such items would be given away. If i bought tickets to that game and the Panthers won (hell of a game), then i think i'd still be happier despite getting duped on a silly giveaway thing.
