So, this is a huge game, even though the Sabres aren't a direct threat to the Rangers in the standings.

Buffalo is hungry, trying to claw their way into the 8th spot. They've won their last three, while the Rangers have earned 1 of their last four points and lost two of their last three games. They need to avoid getting mired in a slump late in the season-- all the other contenders will be building momentum and playing harder as the playoffs draw nearer so if the Rangers go in the opposite direction it may be difficult to right the ship. This team has shown amazing consistency up to this point, so I have hope that they will persevere and come out ahead.
