Forget about hookers, for the past 7-10 days these guys looked like they are carrying around an extra 7-10 lbs of s$#@ in their cans.
The Rangers need to get 'regular', and they might as well start in the Windy City.
Torts needs to kick some ass and actually hold a few guys other than his scapegoats (Stralman, Emminger, and Woywitka mainly) accountable. Except for the last 2 games, the main problem isn't defense - it's offense.
Of course I want the Rangers to win tonight, but I will be ok if they lose as long as I see jump from the guys in blue and a little competitive spark from someone other than Hags and Cally.
LGR!

Has anyone looked at Boyle and Prust's ice time per game in the past month? Outfuckingrageous. Prust seems up around 15' a game while Boyle looks to be averaging around 17' a game!
I like making fun of Wonder Bread and John Scott, but this is by far the bigger problem.

But is their EV ice time up compared to earlier in the season, or are the Rangers just taking a lot more penalties? Probably the former, I assume.

Torts's new line combos:
1st: Scott-Mitchell-Bickel
2nd: Fedotenko-Boyle-Prust
3rd: Hagelin-Stepan-Rupp
4th: Anisimov-Richards-Gaborik
D1: Stralman-Bickel (gets double duty, and PP time!)

I can't look too close right now, I'm about to leave, but a semi-random sample (I tried grabbing a few highs and a few lows and one in the middle) of 6 from Oct./Nov.:
13:56
11:28
14:11
10:58
15:16
11:56
March:
10:28
12:47
14:26
12:13
15:12
Doesn't seem all that different. Might just be a lot of penalties lately? Maybe someone can find something with monthly splits.

I was going to comment on boyles ice time in last nights game thread. He should be closer to 10 minutes than 20. He wastes time out there and that's about it. The more ice time he's getting, the less time for actual production. Same goes for that entire line. They need a third line, not a fourth line that plays 17 minutes and a couple bums that play 2 to four minutes.
