Vokoun and Neuvirth might as well pack their bags. I've seen Holtby in Hershey for several years now. To me, he has ALWAYS looked better than Nuvi, even when they were both on the Bears. He doesn't play scared, which to me Nuvi always has. These injuries have just accelerated the progression. I'm happy for him. Good kid.

It's actually a fascinating situation with Washington right now.

Their current top two goalies are hurt, forcing them to play Holtby and put current Hershey starter Dany Sabourin on the bench. Every other goalie in their system in Hershey and South Carolina (ECHL) is hurt. They had an amateur tryout a few weeks ago to bring in a nose picker to back up Sabourin. Now?

Hershey may well be starting a goalie in the AHL playoffs who is from some tiny college near Philly. He has to use his own pads and the only thing he's allowed to receive from Hershey is a jersey.

I'm 6 of 7 with rooting interests winning so far, and really, St. Louis/San Jose and Phoenix/Chicago I'm fine with either team, so that's like a soft 7 for 7.

It's awesome. Every year i say the same thing. There is nothing like playoffs hockey. The level of the game is just so much higher than it is during the season. This game is just amazing. Nothing like it.
