Eh...Bourque. It's so cliche. I try to stick to the rarer names for most of my jerseys. Who the hell else do you know that has an Eddie Olczyk Winnipeg Jets jersey?

Ahhhh yes but a Rangers jersey from 1995-96 is MUCH easier to find than a Winnipeg Jets jersey from 1995-96 that also had the 'Cherished Memories' patch on the chest.

I have a replica one. But its the white version.

The website says everything is hand sewn. What size should I order? I'm 5'6. I have a CCM jersey in a Men's Large in my closet that I just tried on and that fit ok. I think if I got an XL the arms would be too long on me. Does the sizing differ much between the CCM and Reebok?

The new RBK jerseys run SMALL. I bought an authentic 46(CCM equivalent to about a large) last year and it was like a bologna skin on me. If you wore a large with CCM, get an XL in RBK.

I'm 6'1 and I wear a large and it's fine. If it were an authentic I'd buy a 48, but IMO go with the large XL is just too big.

Agreed. I've got a replica (or whatever they call it now) in XXL that fits more like an old XL or L. Most of the lost size is in the body, the arms are still pretty big and the length is good so the new sizing is actually really good for me since what I want in jerseys is length.

I'm really skinny so don't listen to me. Not saying your fat, but I am a twig (If you've seen me that's an understatement). May be best to go with the XL.

Anyone know where I can find either a Chris Higgins or Mike Komisarek t shirt in youth sizes? I looked at nhl.com, all they have are men's sizes- At 4'11" I can usually throw a belt around a mens small and call it a dress. Ebay and amazon have nothing...

Both the Red Wings and Blackhawks will unveil their special jerseys for the 2009 Winter Classic tomorrow. Info out of Chi-town point to the Hawks wearing the barber pole jerseys like they wore for the TBTC style back in 1992 and Detroit MAY wear their 1992 throwbacks as well but also might end up wearing an all-white 1950 style white jersey with the smaller winged wheel. I'll be in Atlantic City for Saturday and Sunday so somebody has to make sure to post the pictures when they're released tomorrow!

Well, if it's anything like last years jerseys, they probably won't be available in authentics, unless they're some shitty Korean or Chinese knock-offs. Fuck that noise.

Besides, I already have that Detroit Falcons TBTC jersey...auto'd by Federov too. But that damn Hawks barber pole jersey continues to elude me!! GAR!!!! Someday...

Cougars. The Falcons sweater was completely different, hasn't been worn since 1932, and isn't even represented correctly in mock-ups anymore.

And one thing no one seems to be terrified of but me, the Winter Classic jerseys are being described as "unique" not as "throwback" or "vintage" or anything like that. For all we know, it'll be some stupid snow-themed design with the team logos slapped on it.

Of course, I won't see the unveiling in realtime as my wife is hosting a Halloween party tonight so I have to play nice and skip the game.

I don't know much at all about jerseys, but I was wondering if it was possible for me to get one of the old CCM jerseys of Pavel Datsyuk and where I would look to get it?

Unfortunately, your best bet is probably eBay. My advice to you is to find a blank jersey for cheap somewhere and have it customized.

I just can't stand that the Wings use the wrong D though. I've got photos from that time, there were several different versions of the D but the one seemingly used most is the one I use in my site's logo, the Wings recognize the lesser-used one.

And I really want to see the name/number fonts on both of those.

Yeah, it's not identical but I like the idea of what they were going for. I'm glad they didn't just recycle the old DETROIT ones. As awesome as those were, they were over and done with in 1994. This is a pretty cool twist on the old logo. I think maybe they weren't going for the EXACT same look though because they have the Wings logo on the shoulders. I think they were just mixing old with new. I'm like you too and am definitely curious about the font and color combos.

Very cool indeed. But Guerin just looks like such a fucking tool in those godawful EDGE jerseys. It looks like UnderArmour on him.

Is there something about the curved bottom that makes the sweater function better? i.e., the whole idea with the Edge jerseys was that the wick away moisture better, right? So do they need that lip at the bottom to do that?

I'd like to say it makes it function better, but who knows. Unfortunately it looks like Edge is going to stay around, and yes I remember the original marketing saying A LOT about wicking away moisture. Bring back CCM!

Not bad. I believe they had something similar the last few years, but this one goes even further back in time (they had an 80-ish uni before, this is more of the original sweater style of the mid 70s). Waaaay better than the fisherman.

I bought a jersey from a guy on eBay and he happened to mention some others that he had that was going to end up listing later on. When I saw that one was on the list, I asked for pictures. When I saw just which Whale jersey it was, I told him I wanted it. He sold it to me for about half of what he could've sold it for on eBay. Woo-hoo!

I forgot to update this as the Blackhawks unveiled their 3rd jerseys the other night against Colorado. It's essentially the same black jersey that they'd been using for the last ten years or so. I always liked the black jersey on the Hawks. It fits better than it does on Carolina or Boston.

Next on the clock is Pittsburgh who should release theirs tonight...though it's no big surprise as to what theirs will be now.

Isn't it the same as the ones they wore in the Winter Classic last year?
