The Hurricanes third jersey really looks like a vag. Sabres isn't so bad though, but I prefer the lighter blue. Hope they ditch the chest numbers.

AHHHHH the Club Athletique Canadien jersey is the one I actually want!! That one and the CA jersey. All part of their 100th anniversary celebration. Those bastards are gonna look AWESOME with the All-Star patch on them.

I liked the SNES jerseys, specifically how no one reads in that direction. The Tampa one sucks because it doesn't even have the correct team name on it and like Sed I nearly had a seizure thanks to the Montreal jersey.

Very true! I love Montreal's 4 Jerseys. I may have to break out my Montreal sweater Jersey for this season for atleast one Habs game. It's pretty awesome. I really want to take it to one of the places and make it a Richard jersey but I wouldn't know where to go.

No, the Liberty head is officially out for this year. I'm glad too. I never liked that jersey. Too cornball for me.

Eh I was on the fence about it. Last year I didn't want it until my Lindros Liberty Head brought the team good luck. (I take it when I go away and there are Ranger games on because its a crap jersey I won't be completly heart broken if I lost it.) But this year I think it would be cool to have an alternate every once in a while. The Liberty Head still reminds me of Malik's shootout goal right through Kolzig's legs.

In fact, that's the exact jersey I customized especially for Graves Night. It was a choice between that one and the Pro Player one I have with the captains' C but I think the navy one has more of an impact because of that goal.

How big is your collection? I only got like 6 jerseys (Well 7 but I didn't realize buying a Naslund jersey off the Ranger website would mean its a RBK jersey, so I don't count it toward my collection but I will wear it because of my love for Naslund. I hate RBK, but Naslund is the shit.) With my prize being my '58 replica Canadien's sweater Jersey. I really want one of those 1912 replicas, regular Toronto, Detroit,a nd Chicago jerseys to complete my original 6 theme.

eBay, eBay, eBay. They usually have a lot of the NHL Vintage line of replicas from a few years ago for those teams. There are old authentics there too every now and then but you're probably gonna have to outbid somebody by a lot.

Thats what I figured. Hopefully someday I have a jersey collection half as extensive as yours. I was really really mad that I couldn't find a Lundqvist replica when I was in Sweeden last year! I should have settled an gotten Forsberg instead I still kick myself over that.

I want a giant collection whether authentic or not. The Vancouver design is soo cool now compared to the yellow and black ones they had with that design earlier. The light blue, green, and white really are better for a pacific northwest team. I think the new Phoenix and San Jose 3rd jerseys are pretty sweet, but nothing comepares to the 2-D original Phoenix logo.

I think you guys let nostalgia play too much of a part in your liking of jerseys. The new Vancouver ones (or are they the new old ones?) with the light blue and seahawk green are some of the ugliest in the league, and they were ugly when they first had them. The new Hurricane jerseys may have an odd logo, but the overall look of the jersey is definetly better than those Vancouver ones.

Um, historically that's an old Habs jersey. It's not like they decided "oh let's do this ugly thing. They're trying to do something historical for their big anniversary.



While I'm no fan of the black, that is a hurricane flag not an actual hurricane. Have you not seen the red flags that they put out when a hurricane approaches? The flag design is what has been the border of the canes jerseys.

What most people don't understand is that the uglier a jersey is, the rarer it is and therefore the more valuable it becomes. The old Los Angeles Kings Burger King third jersey was worn for about 5 games total in 1995-96 and to this day is the SINGLE-MOST sought after jersey in the hobby. Hell, I had a crappy replica version that I sold for almost 500 bucks a few months ago so that goes to show you how much the uggos are wanted.

The new Vancouver jerseys will be worth a buttload of money someday because of that bizarre color scheme and design and GOD WILLING because of the fact that it's the RBK EDGE version which will be extinct soon.

As I stated previously, this is all part of the Canadiens 100th anniversary celebration and that particular jersey is absolutely steeped in heritage. Those jerseys wore worn in the 1910's and I'm pretty sure they won their first Stanley Cup in it back before the NHL existed. The blue, white and red(bleu, blanc et rouge) color scheme represented the colors of the Canadian flag back then; which I think included the Union Jack actually...and the CAC inside the Maple Leaf is what the team was called back then also; Club Athlétique Canadien. Not many people know that the Toronto Maple Leafs were the second team to wear the leaf on the chest. Before 1927, they were known as the St. Pat's and wore pea green jerseys.

Sorry for the AWFUL pictures but this was on the website. It looks like a 1975 version complete with the off-color nameplate on the back and the horizontal stripes that go all the way across the shoulders and arms. Excellent. As much as I hate the fucking Flyers, I really like their old(er) jerseys. This one looks like a winner.
