Anybody else see a young moose in this kid?

Do you remember the beating he took from Richards last year? Do you think Dubi remebered that and made up for it in last nights game?

Hmmm, I don't know about a young moose since he's not quite the intimidator Mess was. But he's got the leadership skills, he's got the passion. I see some Graves in him too.

And I do remember his fight with Richards a year ago when he got dropped. it's why I cringed when they first started fighting.

It's like he spent all of his spare time shoring up the two most glaring holes in his game last year, his balance and fighting. He's going to be scary pretty soon.

I see Jean Ratelle a kid looking to be the best hockey player he can be. Not quite sure who he reminds me completely of yet, but Dubi is going to be very good.

If I remember correctly, he got a beat-down twice last season from Richards because he refused to be intimidated by him and back away.

I understand what you're saying but physically it's so hard to see that because the kid still looks like he's 12 years old, can barely grow a beard, and I think his voice is still changing. laugh2.gif

But seriously, we can see him learning from his mistakes. We can also see him improving his skills. We saw him last night takedown Richards who pwned him last season. This kid will meet every obstacle or challenge in front of him head on, with the determination to overcome it or beat it down. And you can hear in his comments that that's what he expects/hopes for from his teammates. He's strong, but not an intimidator like Moose. But he's a young leader on this team that will only grow as he gets older. I'd agree he's like (a more vocal) Graves.

He should be on the cover for NHL '10 because of his mastery of predicting lines through the game.

Actually Voros called it, not Dubi.
