Full Version: Marijuana Home Delivery!

So my friend was telling me all about how there are a shitload of delivery services to NJ/NYC/LI where you call and actually order pot and 5 minutes to an hour later someone shows up with like a portfolio of all different kinds of their "product". I didn't believe him but on google there is a lot of stuff about these different delivery services. Anyone have any experience with these? I'm kind of surprised how much stuff was published about it on google.

On that note, anyone see that NJ is moving a bill up the latter regarding medical marijuana. Soon they'll be a bunch of corrupt doctors like California so everyone can get it legally, they have like 300 dispensaries now.

That sounds like a classic trap. I don't think the cops these days would bother wasting considerable time and money just to bust marijuana buyers (that was more of a Reagan era thing), but I still wouldn't trust it.

Also, here comes SATS.

That one flew a mile over my head.

I blame it on all the pot I used to smoke.

It was an episode of The Simpsons - Wiggum stages a scofflaw sting by mailing out sweepstakes forms telling the targets that they'd won a motorboat. When the cops put Homer into a chicken-wing, he yells the aforementioned.

Why aren't you talking Dad? Where's the motorboat?

I didn't like it. The mast had termites?

Why would a motorboat have a mast?

Because! The thing was--shut up!

There is a lot of support from a surprising source regarding the legalization of marijuana.

A study done recently examined the idea of national legalization of marijuana, surprisingly authored by economist Jeffrey A. Miron, called The Budgetary Implications of Marijuana Prohibition. It overwhelmingly concluded that pot should be legalized. Guys like George Soros, Milton Friedman (and several other Nobel Laureates) are among the hundreds of economists that have subsequently endorsed the idea.

The report estimates that it would add billions to the American economy. CNBC did a special on the idea just last month during which they went further, and stated that 1/3 of the economy of California is generated through the production and distribution of pot, with most of it being illegal and untaxed. There was also an episode of National Geographic Explorer in December that echoed the report's findings.

Well, I don't think it's a trap. A lot of stuff I found via google was on message boards from long time posters and they had pics of the different stuff and there was a ton of people replying saying how they have used a similar service. I also stumbled across an article from Newsday about one of these rings that called themselves the "Cartoon Network" that did get busted in 2005, but the article noted that there are many of them and that it takes too many resources to track these guys and they pretty much don't bother. I was just curious if anyone has ever heard of them.

More importantly, I don't think they are going to set up a huge sting to bust people and hand out citations, since marijuana is decriminalized in NY. That doesn't really make any sense. If I am walking around with a bag I'm not nervous I'll get arrested like I used to be, it's the equivalent of a traffic ticket, it doesn't stay on your record you just get a citation. You still get fucked if your smoking it and get caught, but it's better than nothing.

Yeah, I never really saw a dispensary before I watched that documentary "Super High Me", which was fucking hysterical, awesome movie. And the owner of a dispensary was like "When I first opened the neighbors were all like, 'oh, black man setting up shop to sell some dope' but now they see we are a legitmate business and it's ok.

It's a fucking disgrace that the DEA is still raiding the dispensaries even though Obama said he would stop wasting money using federal agents to overcome state law, I mean the people fucking voted it in! But at least the other day Obama mentioned he'll make sure the raids stop when he picks a new head of the DEA.

I doubt it will ever be legalized but I wonder if NY will follow California's footsteps in my lifetime. I guess it's possible, after watching "Super High Me" I just want to see the day where you can walk into a store and buy all different kinds of marijuana buds and candies and cookies, etc like they have on the left coast. The only bad thing I've heard about their situation is that doctors are a bit corrupt since half of the people that buy it legally really don't need it for medicinal use, they just get the doctor to hook them up. But since it's not a big deal nobody seems to care anyway.

edit: saw this...

The state Assembly passed compassionate medical marijuana legislation twice — in June 2007 and again in June 2008. But the Senate majority leaders at the time — first Joe Bruno (R-Rensalaer County), then Dean Skelos (R-Rockville Center) — failed to call a vote in the Senate.

In the elections on November 4, two Senate seats shifted from Republicans to Democrats and control of the chamber shifted to the Democrats.

That's for New York, so, I kind of expect this to come to a vote in the Senate with the change of power.

My friend's cousin uses these delivery services all the time, or at least he used to. I thought it was kind of common knowledge that these services were around.

I used to get delivery when I lived on the Upper East Side. From what I remember, I had to get referred by a current customer before they'd sign me up. I suppose that's the best way to avoid the law.

My brother and I would get our stuff from a similar operation on the LES. Ahhhh, those were the days.
