It's really not THAT big a deal if you pour it into a regular pint glass but, if you want to do it the super-proper way, use a chalice.

EDIT: Oh God; I just noticed the Star Wars poster in the background. This is not my house. I REPEAT, this is NOT my house.

A chalice?! Hold on whilst I bust out my Atari 2600 and blow the dust off of this Adventure cartridge!
If I had more room in my cabinets, I'd have more styles of beer glasses. The only ones that I probably wouldn't bother with are pilsners, since I rarely drink those.

"Key West" shot.
Root Beer schnapps
Jager(Melvin!)
Coke
Bartender last night fed us those for hours. They go down smooth which is very misleading to their effect.
I used to sneek a flask with Jagermeister and a bottle of root beer into the Garden when I had my season tix. That was definitely a good mix. But this shot sounds a little"different" (for lack of a better term). Maybe it's because I don't like cola? I don't know. I'd still try it out of curiosity, but I dont anticipate enjoying it.

Scott, just for the record, it's Fat Tire; not Flat Tire. Unless it's not the same beer that I'm thinking of. Is it the one with the bicycle on the label? If so, it's really damn good. Just make sure not to call it Flat Tire around Marie otherwise she'll shank you!

Tried the Unibroue Trois Pistoles w/dark chocolate on the deck last night w/our friends. I thought it was quite good.It went over well w/rest of the guests who tried it too. I almost bought a bar of ginger infused dark chocolate to go w/it but thought I had to stay w/reg dark choc. After trying the beer I think that it would be even better w/ginger choc.
Thanks for the recommendation.

On saturday night I had 2 things that were new to me:
Friends were visiting from West Virginia, and they brought back a bottle of West Virginia Moonshie. It was only 80 proof - which surprised most people- but I'd never had moonshine before, so I decided to try it.

It tasted like rubbingg acohol. I can't imagine what the full-fledged version tastes like!
The other was Pimm's. It is supposedly an English liquer. It was mixed with Sprite and fruit (very much like sangria). Sweeter than expected, but very good.

Thirstybear in SF. Yum. The Kozlov Stout is a treat; the Golden Vanilla is tasty, and they had a strong belgian on tap as a special that was really fun. Most everything else was at least solid. Good stuff.

This is the predominate liquor in China. It is pretty much moonshine though. It's 52% and tastes like Everclear.

Huh. I thought that the U.S. had lifted the restrictions, but it turns out that it depends on what your definition of "real" absinthe is. In the U.S., it can be sold with a reduced thujone content.

In reality it makes no difference. Absinthe is just shitty tasting alcohol, nothing more.
And ultimately I couldn't find any anyway, rendering the whole thing moot.
