I went to a bar last night and decided to try a Big Blueberry martini. Best one I've ever had! Smirnoff Blueberry Twist vodka, white cranberry juice, splash of lime juice, and a handful of blueberries at the bottom to absorb some of the alcohol for a tasty treat at the end. Man was it good. Along with the second one, the bartender gave me what was left over from both in a double shot glass, and it was enough to almost fill the glass again.

Well the consider it done. They're stronger, they get you shitfaced faster, and they taste so much better than beer (and I like to think I drink tasty beers), or scotch, or burbon, etc... .

Sorry, but everyone knows you only drink to show how macho you are, not to enjoy it or get drunk.

No, don't! Having the drinks thread by itself makes it easy for me to navigate when I want to look for something. There are so many interesting recommendations for drinks here. Although, I wish there were more wine references.
A few of us will talk wine for days, but we'll get overrun in this thread by the people that are threatened by whipped cream.

Any recommendations for an inexpensive end-of-summer rosé?

I'm not the biggest fan of rose but here's a wine tv (good resource on wine, check out other episodes including one with the Great One) episode on rose. The host, Gary, is sometimes out there on how he describes the wine/nose (IMO) but he's seems pretty down to earth and a huge Jets fan. Dunno what's available in your area but don't try limit yourself to French rose, try some from Oregon and Washington.

Look towards Cote Du Rhone. M. Chapoutier does a really nice greache/syrah rose blend for under $20.

It is hard to go wrong with most mainstream roses from California. The thing is great grapes are not needed to make a good rose, the vintner can pull grapes from anywhere they grow. It really doesn't matter so don't overpay. The above prices are fine, but anything north of that starting to become a stretch. If anyone tries to wrap it as "upscale" than they are just playing on people's sense and need to feel exclusive. Rose is one of the few wines that I think in all seriousness can be screw-topped at no big loss to flavor.
To me it always tastes like kool-aid, gives me a shitty headache. Some of my friends can put it in a cup and guzzle it. To each, their own.

That's why I'm a fan of the French when it comes to Rose. It's far too easy for the kool-aid analogies to come out when we're talking about a new-world wine.

As far as I know, there's no video for KOHTA EI NAURA ENÄÄ JEESUSKAAN, one of my favorites.
BTW, Jep, what the hell does that mean? The best I can come up with is "Entry no laugh only Jesus-tower" which, while entertaining, doesn't really make sense, even by the standards of Finnish metal.

Given how drunk they tend to be that might have been what they were actually saying.
Jep, take two albums of Impaled Nazarene and call me in the morning. I recommend All that you Fear and Absence of War Does Not Mean Peace. All that you Fear has Armageddon Death Squad on it.
