Considering how rich he is, that sounds about right for a bad day for him - he drove 300 yards down the driveway and shanked into a tree.

Why would his wife need a golf club to extricate him from his SUV? The whole thing is weird.

Yeah, but there are two sides to that. Did she break the window to help get him out, or did she break the window in a fit of rage as she chased him out of the house?

I think Jen was referring to the TMZ article that suggest Elin went batshit on Tiger and wasn't trying to save him. All stories say she used a golf club, but some (including me) don't believe it was to extricate her husband from an Escalade that crashed going about 20 mph, if that.

Kudos to Tiger for walking away from a confrontational domestic situation and unlike others in similar situation, who would had struck back, he walked away. In their haste to get at the salecious details, the press has ignored to talk about this angle.

Excuse me, but where has it been proven that 1. Tiger and this woman were having an affair (they both say otherwise and the woman is offering proof they didn't have an affair) and 2. there was some sort of domestic violence dispute between Tiger and his wife leading up to the crash?
And that's why there won't be any backlash.

let me clarify my point and answer both of your questions. My response was based on alleged articles throughout the media posted in last 2 days. Neither Woods nor the girl are going to come out and say immediatlely, yes we both were sack partners. Two, the reports of the crash do not make sense. A minor accident does not result in facial injuries. A hard enough accident causing facial injuries will have the air bag deploy. It did not in this case. Furthermore, the back window is alleged to have been broken to extract Woods from the car. This is a SUV Cadillac Escalade we are talking about here and not a litlle Honda Civic. A minor fender bender is not going to cause the vehicle damage shown in many of the pictures from the scene of the accident. It is also alleged Woods was found shoeless, in shorts and a T-shirt.
Maybe the affair is all B.S., but that doesn't mean that his wife was incorrectly upset and started to confront him about the thruth of the story. Tiger Woods is a very secret individual. There is plenty that we don't know about him. We know him as the professional golfer, but not as a person.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writ...html?xid=cnnbinQUOTE
Tiger is different. I don't think anyone beyond his close circle really feels like they know Tiger Woods. And maybe even those people don't know. Is he funny? Some say yes, but I've never really heard him say anything especially funny. Does he like talking about politics? Movies? Sports? Can he tell a story? Is he a good listener? Does he have interesting thoughts about faith? Does he get on the floor and play with his kids? Which Austin Powers movie did he think was funniest? Any of them? Is he happy or unhappy with the direction they are taking Jim and Pam on The Office? Does he put money on Free Parking when he's playing Monopoly? Does he park near the entrance or exit when going to a Target? Who does he think writes better, Delillo, McCarthy or McDermott?
We don't know. We know he was raised to play golf. We know he plays it better than anyone in the world. We know that he does not like cameras clicking during his backswing, and he has a remarkable ability to get himself out of golf danger, and he does not miss many important putts. We know he married a Swedish model, and they have two cute kids and a couple of dogs. We know that he is friends with Roger Federer, though what this means is really anyone's guess since Federer is not exactly an open book himself.

Not necessarily. I'd say he's lost a lot of the 30 to 55 year old female consumers who think he's a total pig and a moron to boot. And said female consumers - at least the married ones - tend to have a say in what/who their family's spending goes to support. So even though Woods' fan base comprises mainly affluent white males, the wives of those males may have more of an impact than one would expect.
And he is a moron, an arrogant one. What he did doesn't surprise me. What does surprise me is that it took so long for it to catch up with him. These kinds of rumors have been chasing him for years.
